  • Consent Is Mandatory - Flirting, trauma dumping, fighting, crying, brooding in a corner — all fine only if the other player is on board. If it’s not a “yes,” it’s a no. No hard feelings, no pushing.

  • IC Drama, OOC Kindness - Your OC can be a mess. You should not be. No OOC harassment, bullying, or bad vibes. If there’s a problem, take it to tells or staff — not the bar floor.

  • Trauma Is Opt-In - This is a bar for unhinged OCs — not a requirement to unpack everything. Light RP, heavy RP, or “just here for vibes” are all equally valid. No surprise trauma dumps without checking in first.

  • Drinks Are Fictional - In-character drinking ≠ encourages real-life drinking. Please take care of yourself IRL. Hydrate. Eat. Touch grass (affectionate).

  • No Godmodding - No auto-hits, no forcing outcomes, no deciding how someone else’s OC reacts. Messy is good. Controlling is not.

  • Read the Room - If the scene is serious, don’t derail it for laughs. If the scene is chaotic, don’t force angst. Match the energy.

  • Irish Goodbyes Are Encouraged - You are welcome to leave at any time without explanation. This is not rude. This is lore-accurate.

  • Staff Has Final Say - Bartenders reserve the right to: Cut off problematic behavior, Redirect scenes, Ask someone to step away, Throw a metaphorical red flag. We promise to do so in a calm and respectful manner.

  • If You’re Unsure, Ask - Out-of-character check-ins are welcome and encouraged. A quick “hey, is this okay?” saves everyone time and feelings.

  • Most Important Rule - Have fun. Be weird. Be respectful. If it stops being fun for someone, it stops.

Staff Spotlight

Behind the bar at The Red Flag are two Viera who look like they’ve seen worse than whatever you’re about to confess — and lived to pour about it. Together, they run the bar like a well-practiced dance: one steadying, one grounding, both fully aware that everyone who walks through the door ignored at least one warning sign. They won’t judge. They won’t fix you.
They’ll just make sure your drink is strong, your boundaries are respected, and your bad decisions are at least well-served.
Proceed anyway.

Culann Rolvsson

Culann is warmer on the surface — relaxed posture, easy smile, and an effortless charm that disarms before you realize it has. He laughs easily, jokes freely, and keeps the atmosphere from tipping too far into despair. That said, there’s a depth behind the humor, and when the night turns heavy, Culann knows exactly when to stop joking and start listening.

RP Hooks
> The Icebreaker: Culann is usually the first to greet new faces, offering a joke, a comment about the weather, or a deliberately bad drink pun to ease them in.
> The Distraction Drink: If he senses tension rising, he’ll suggest something flashy, sweet, or ridiculous to shift the mood before it curdles.
> The Gentle Deflection: When someone starts spiraling, Culann knows how to redirect without shutting them down — a skill your OC might notice and question.
> Shared Laughs: He laughs easily and invites others to join in. If your OC matches his humor, he’ll warm to them quickly.
> The Line He Won’t Cross: If pushed too far, Culann’s tone changes — still calm, but firm. Players can explore what it takes to reach that boundary.
Quirks
> Talks with his hands when animated
> Keeps a mental tally of who’s had what to drink
> Refills water glasses without being asked
> Smiles first, listens second, intervenes last
> Has a habit of leaning on the bar like he’s been there all night (because he has)

RP Hooks
> The Look: Zira has a habit of meeting someone’s eyes a second longer than expected, usually right before asking a question that lands a little too close to the truth. If she looks at your OC like that, she’s noticed something.
> Perfect Pour: She often hands patrons exactly the drink they didn’t order but clearly needed. If your OC comments on it, she’ll explain — or ask what gave them away.
> Silent Company: Zira is comfortable sitting in silence with someone who doesn’t want to talk. If your OC chooses to drink quietly at the bar, she may wordlessly stay nearby.
> Memory Like a Blade: She remembers names, preferences, and past conversations with unsettling precision. If your OC returns, she might reference something they thought was forgotten.
> The Check-In: When a conversation turns heavy, Zira will quietly check in OOC-friendly: “You want distraction or honesty?” — giving players an easy consent moment.
Quirks
> Polishes the same glass repeatedly when thinking
> Rarely drinks, but always knows when someone else has had enough
> Gives very direct advice when asked — no fluff, no judgment
> Tends to stand with her back to the bar, watching the room through reflections
> Has a soft spot for people who say “I’m fine” too quickly

Zira Kline

Zira is sharp-eyed, composed, and quietly observant. She listens more than she speaks, remembers everything you say, and pours drinks with unsettling accuracy. Whether she’s offering a perfectly timed refill or a look that says you already know this is a bad idea, Zira has a way of making patrons feel seen without ever prying. If you’re unraveling slowly, she’ll meet you where you are.

🚩 About The Red Flag

There are places you go because you were invited.
There are places you go because you’re celebrating.
And then there’s The Red Flag — the place you end up when you saw the warning signs and decided to proceed anyway.
Tucked away just far enough from polite society, The Red Flag is a bar built for questionable choices, long nights, and the kind of conversations that start as jokes and end a little too honest. The lighting is low, the seating is comfortable, and the drinks are strong enough to make you forget why you said you’d only have one. This is not a place that promises redemption. It does not offer solutions, absolution, or easy answers. What it offers instead is space — space to be messy, to be quiet, to laugh too loud, or to sit with a glass in hand and think about things you’ve been carefully not thinking about. The menu leans heavily into self-awareness: cocktails with names that sound like bad ideas because they are. Each drink is crafted to match a mood rather than a moment — sweet things that hit harder than expected, dark pours that linger longer than intended, and fizzy distractions that disappear before you realize how many you’ve had. The bartenders won’t judge your order. They’ve heard worse. At the heart of The Red Flag are its staff: steady hands, sharp eyes, and an unspoken agreement that what happens here stays here. They know when to listen, when to redirect, and when to quietly slide a glass of water across the bar. Boundaries are respected. Consent is king. Emotional honesty is welcome — but never required. For adventurers nursing old wounds, villains between arcs, heroes on the edge of burnout, or anyone who just needs a place to exist without pretending to be fine, The Red Flag offers a kind of dangerous comfort. Not because it fixes anything — but because it doesn’t ask you to be fixed.Come alone or come with company. Stay for one drink or lose track of time entirely. Leave without saying goodbye.
You were warned.
Proceed anyway. 🚩

🚩 Staffing Notice

We appreciate the interest — truly. Something about this place attracts people who thrive on chaos and questionable choices. That said, The Red Flag is not currently hiring. Our bar is fully staffed at the moment, and while we love the enthusiasm, we’re not taking on new bartenders, servers, or floor staff right now. When that changes, announcements will be made clearly and loudly — no need to ask, inquire, or slip a résumé across the bar “just in case.”Thank you for understanding, for respecting boundaries, and for not turning this into another bad decision. If we start hiring again, you’ll see the sign. 🚩
